The lady behind Savor/Nourish
Personal Chef Jessica Choy’s enthusiasm for cooking began at a very young age and many of her best memories were made in the kitchen. As a child, she remembers her family always cooking from scratch and she grew to become eager to help her parents with their homemade soups and sauces. Over the years, she spent countless hours watching cooking shows and reading every cookbook she could get her hands on. Eventually, she became the “go-to” girl to cook at all the family gatherings. She says this was when she discovered her passion: cooking, and helping people through food. Jessica gained experience by working for a small catering company and several restaurants, working in both front and back of house, building friendships with the chefs, and learning as much as she could along the way. To hone her self-taught skills, Jessica also began taking cooking classes and was subsequently trained in the personal chef field by the APPCA Institute.
Today, Jessica is a member of the American Personal and Private Chef Association (APPCA) and is a certified trained Personal Chef. She is now the chef and owner of SAVOR/NOURISH.
